Child Safety

Child Safety is Important to us

At SHCP, we use volunteers to help coordinate the running of the club and coach children. Our volunteers combine a diversity of characteristics, perspectives, skills and backgrounds. We are committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for everyone, including children, so that people feel safe, respected and connected, and can contribute and develop. We measure ourselves on CNSW 'How We Play' values.

SHCP adheres to the Australian Cricket’s Commitment Statement to Safeguarding Children and Young People can be found at cricket.com.au/integrity/safeguarding-children.

We require all committee members, coaches and volunteers to undergo background checks and screening prior to or during any appointments. SHCP has an appointed committee member to ensure that regular Working with Children Checks are completed and that all Committee Members, Coaches and Volunteers are declared safe to ensure Children and their family's feel safe, respected and connected, and can contribute and develop to the club.
